n257 (28GHz band) is a band that will take time to become widespread. The signal does not travel well and does not penetrate inside buildings, so the area is very limited. It is expected to be deployed over time in large stations and downtown areas of large cities with high traffic as hotspots.
n77/n78 (3.7GHz band) is Rakuten Mobile’s main 5G band.
Band 3/Band 9 (1.7GHz band) is Rakuten Mobile’s main band. It is deployed and operated nationwide with 4G LTE. Most of Rakuten Mobile’s base stations are for this band.
Band 28 (700MHz band) has a narrow bandwidth of 6MHz in total, but it is a very effective frequency for Rakuten Mobile to expand the area with its own base stations (increase population coverage).
